ABOUT ZACH,

I’m Zach Cunningham, a soccer, coach, and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with experience playing at the collegiate and academy levels and coaching at the varsity level. I played four years of collegiate soccer at SUNY Potsdam, where I was a two-year captain and finished my career second all-time in assists. I then continued my playing career in England with the South Shields FC International Academy while completing my MSc in Applied Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Sunderland. Alongside playing, I have gained experience in strength and conditioning, personal training, youth athletic development, Olympic weightlifting, and soccer coaching. My background allows me to combine what I have learned through my education and professional experience with what I have experienced firsthand as an athlete. I understand that every athlete is different. My approach is not to put everyone through the exact same workout or training session. I want to understand where an athlete currently is, what they want to accomplish, and what areas of their game or physical development need the most attention.

MY GOAL FOR ATHLETES

Build Better Athletes. Develop Better Footballers. My goal is to help each athlete become stronger, faster, more technically confident, and better prepared for the physical and technical demands of their sport. Just as importantly, I want athletes to understand why they are training and develop the confidence, work ethic, and habits necessary to continue improving outside of our sessions. For younger athletes, the focus is on creating a positive relationship with training while developing the fundamental movement, athletic, and technical skills that will provide a foundation for future development. For older and more experienced athletes, training can become increasingly specific to their individual goals, position, physical needs, and level of competition.
